South Pembrokeshire Wedding in the Shadow of Manorbier Castle
Summer 2018 has been one of the warmest and driest on record by as we headed to south Pembrokeshire it was a little dull and we were concerned it may rain. Our worries were unfounded.
As usual I was covering the bridal preparations and was welcomed into Alex's family home by her mum and dad. The happy atmosphere was fuelled by bacon butties and bucks fizz as the girls got ready and before long it was off to the church in Manorbier.
What a spectacular setting for a wedding! Medieval St. James' Church sits high above the village with panoramic views across to the simply stunning Manorbier Castle, the perfect backdrop to formal family photos.
Close by the coastal path follows the road and we spent 20 minutes or so after the formals taking so shots with the cliffs in the background before the couple jumped into their wedding campervan for the 1/2 hour or so drive to Plas Hyfryd in Narberth.
Everyone was able to relax of a wonderful wedding breakfast before the evening guests arrived just as the sun was going down, providing an opportunity for some love golden hour candid shots as people relaxed at the front of the hotel.
Thanks for having us guys - we really appreciate you choosing us to cover your big day!
