Welcome to Williams & Welsby
Wedding Photography in Pembrokeshire
Ceredigion resident since 1970 and a lifetime photographer. I attended what was once known as St. David's University College, at Lampeter and instead of studying hard I played bass in Dyfed's first punk band.
After stints in bands, bookmaking and fish frying(!) I returned to Wales to deal in books and then antiques. (After 32 years I am still publishing an annual Wales Antiques Guide!).
My interests include books, maps, Nikon, Yashica and Mamiya film cameras, Poole Pottery, Welsh textiles, and Poster art.
My favourite movies include anything by Pressburger and Powell; favourite music includes Gene Clark, Gram Parsons, and anything from San Francisco 1965-1970.
I still have a strong interest in antiques and collecting books, I've trained, and worked, as a counsellor but my passion for photography and photographing people is lifelong.
Carl re-introduced me to wedding photography and now running around Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion chasing the perfect shot with brides, grooms and their families is one of my favourite things!
I'm a Lancashire lad, from Blackpool, with an accent rounded by a life travelling in the Middle East and Asia, Hampshire and latterly Pembrokeshire.
I am married to Louise - the best woman to come out of Middlesbrough, or anywhere else for that matter. We moved to Pembrokeshire in 2007 and gained a cat named Holly (who thinks she's a dog such is her propensity to follow us around), 5 sheep and a dozen chickens.
I have a love for Chinese food, Indian music and a dislike for coriander.
I am a self taught photographer having become interested whilst travelling and working in the Middle East and Asia in the late 80s. Back then my passion was street photography, capturing images from some of the remotest parts of the globe.
Paul and I clicked over our love of breaking photography’s “rules” and here we are a few years later, doing what we do best.
